Welcome to The Wright Cake! We are the Moyes, co-owners of the Wright Cake! We got married in 2025, but started baking together in 2021! Below, you'll find more about our story and what inspires us to create beautiful cakes for you!
Meet Hannah
Cake Decorator
Hi, I’m Hannah — the decorator at The Wright Cake!
I made my first wedding cake in 2019 (see photo on the right) and instantly fell in love with the art of creating something beautiful and meaningful for such a special day. What started as a passion quickly grew into a business dedicated to crafting elegant, custom wedding cakes for couples in Utah.
When I got married, I had the joy of designing and creating my own wedding cake — an experience that deepened my appreciation for how much detail and heart goes into every celebration. I know firsthand how important each element of your day is, and I’m honored to play a small part in it.
The Wright Cake is named after my maiden name, Wright — a nod to where this journey began and the creativity that continues to inspire every cake I design.
Meet Gavin
Baker
Hey- I'm Gavin! The Baker here at the Wright Cake!
I’ve been into cooking and baking for as long as I can remember. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve enjoyed being in the kitchen, trying new things and figuring out what works. I like experimenting with different flavor combinations and pushing past the basics, always looking for new ideas and flavors I can bring into what I make.
That mindset really grew during my time serving a mission in New Zealand. Being around different cultures and foods helped expand my palate and gave me a greater appreciation for bold, unique flavors. It pushed me to think outside the box and inspired the way I approach baking today.
When I’m not in the kitchen, I spend a lot of time involved in musical theater and clogging. I enjoy the creativity and energy that comes with performing—it’s a different kind of outlet, but one that still lets me create and connect with people. Whether I’m baking or on stage, I take pride in what I do and aim to create something people genuinely enjoy.
